Susan asks…
Mayan clay mask – good for acne?
I have this mayan clay stuff from Mexico, on the back it says one of the treatments is acne. I want to try it out, but I’m not sure how. Should I put it on ask a mask before bed and leave it on overnight, or should I leave it on for just 20 minutes, 10 minutes, I’m not sure. What do you recommend? And how often? I don’t have severe acne, but it’s not light either. It’s kind of just, regular I guess. A lot on my nose and the middle of my forehead.
dude, I’m not trying it cause I think it’s this magical potion from mexico that will give me powers and flawless skin. I just want to try it. chill.

I am 19. Been fighting acne since i was 12, its not bad but it is there, by now i’m convinced it’s all about routine, if i can wash 3 times a day my acne stands no chance
i LOVE masks.. Use it once or twice a week, leave it on about 15 minutes (enough time to dry) then gently wipe it off with warm water or a rag. It should help shrink your poors.. Use it too often though it will just irritate your skin.
Also, use oil-free and hypo aergenic make up products.. Some concealers actually fght blemishes (i use almay) just wash off ALL makeup before bed and start fresh in the morning.
You may want to try a scrub that has tiny grains of what feels like sand in it also (this will make your skin sensationally soft because it removes the dead dry skin which can cause acne, the only downside is it will make your existing acne a lil red and irritated so dont do it if you dont have an hour to spare before going somewhere)
