James asks…
What are the best acne treatments for me?
Ok, so I started a regime that seemed to work, but every once in a while I break out [about once a month].
What have you found to be the best ‘zit zapper’?
I have tried toothpaste, ice, honey, baking soda, and salt, all to no avail.
Any face masks that you love [that I can make with basic ingredients]?
Any quick treatments that you swear by? [again, something I can make easily]
When I get a pimple it is always bad, so even if there aren’t a lot, they are noticeable. I had severe acne in the 2nd grade, it has become mild acne more recently [going into 9th], but once a month, every month I break out. Both of my parents had acne, so it is genetic; I am stressed a lot and have sleep problems, so it is environmental; and it is hormonal.
Thank you
I would definately be willing to try accutain, can you get it at a store or do you need to have a perscription?
What are the generic brands?
Moe answers:
FOR NOW I’d say … Use this :
a small amount of sugar in a cup for scrubbing
a small amount of honey and some oatmeal flakes(to soothe)… Scrub your face with these. And rinse
Next use an astringent like that “seabreeze?” stuff… Or lemon juice on a cotton ball. Then rinse again.
Lastly… This is a trick many models use…
Break an ibuprofen in half (or use a whole one) …put a few drops of water in your hand and then dip the pill in the water and rub on each blemish… To kind of make a paste on the blemish . Let this sit for about 5 minutes. This trick will get rid of the redness! Make sure you rinse this off too.
Hope this helps
I know acne is depressing
